The Prime Minister of France, on Saturday, announced that elderly individuals, above 80, who had received their booster shot more than three months ago would be given the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

He also requested people to keep wearing the masks as the country was slowly relaxing the COVID-19 restrictions. From March 14, masks would be required only while using public transport.

France has also done away with the requirement of vaccine pass, starting Monday, which was a confirmation that the person was triple vaccinated against COVID-19. Such a pass would now only be required to go to a hospital or a retirement home, as a measure to protect people who are more prone to get infected. (NDTV - AFP, March 13, 2022)
